Orthodox Temple of Natural Religion

Mission Statement

Our mission is to reintroduce true religion to the world. We provide legitimate pagan doctrines and rites, foster our people and bring them to the Truth, work to restore order, preserve our cultural and intellectual legacy, and preserve the true teachings of all times.

We are a hierarchical international pagan religious institution. Our mission is to establish orthodox morality based on natural law, restore people’s ability to think correctly and see things accurately, restore paganism and work towards the overcoming of the counter-religious spirit born of Abraham, and coordinate between legitimate pagan religious traditions to restore a true model of religion for the people of the world whose traditions have been lost or suppressed, promote worthy traditions, develop religious practices and ideas, and protect the interests of pagans throughout the world. We also would like to see the return of pagan theocratic models of governance and the abandonment of the Christian-derived errors that plague the modern world: liberty, equality, Empiricism, anthropocentrism (ego-mindedness), racial and cultural erasure under cosmopolitanism, materialist economies, etc.

We value the teachings of the great wisdom literature of the world, and we work to help humankind return to the Way.

We have a priesthood who may lead local religious communities, a higher class of priests called prefects (you may think of them like bishops) who ordain priests within their region, a council of three who direct Temple life, and a high priest who stays discreet and rules in matters of indecision or urgency. Our priests are ordained after taking courses that we have written and provide for free (no cost) in philosophy, theology, theurgy, and priestcraft. We are highly selective of our priests, and we have a way of allowing greater education and participation to sincere followers who want to know more but are not quite worthy of priesthood. As it is said in the I Ching (yijing): The superior man teaches the great men; the great men teach the ordinary men.

We center our education, discourse, and religious calendar around the Greek and Roman traditions, but the temple’s ruling hierarchy and priests are well-studied in a variety of traditions and belong to other traditions than just the Hellenistic, and we allow for all legitimate religious traditions to be a part of our mission and participate in the Temple. After all, pagan religions can be compatible, and we encourage an ecumenism between faiths. We reject degeneracy, including degenerate expressions of worship. There are many branches, communities, and theories that are welcome in the Temple, and we welcome new communities in all regions of the world where we currently do not have any. Currently, we have growing communities throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Mexico.
